My serious little girl gives us the BIGGEST smiles now :) Its sooo precious. Big cheesy grins, sweet little smiles, and almost laughs. LOVE it!
She also slept from 8.30-3am last night :o My left boob had leaked a lot hehe my singlet was soaked, had to change it ;)
Things are plodding along well, she feeds roughly 3 hourly I think .. I really don't know this time around! Is becoming more alert and spending more time laying on her mat nappy free just checking things out.
She isn't sleeping so well unless in arms, so is often in wrap or sling asleep. I am going to get a hammock to see if she likes that, will be very helpful if she does.
Lauren is settling, but still goes silly when I have people over, I think its a "Look at ME not the baby" thing
So on to photos!!
ZOMG where did that go??
Damiens last few days off work, he starts back on Monday :(
Things are going along pretty well, struggling a little with Lauren but hoping that settles soon, I think its only time that is going to help.
Miss Anya is growing and changing so much. Such a serious wee girl. I have had a few smiles, I think she is going to reserve her smiles for when she really means it :) She is turning into a chubba bubba, which is so cool because Lauren wasn't very chubby at all hehe
Not much else to update really, days consist of booby feeding, changing nappies, rocking to sleep Miss A entertaining/fobbing off/grousing at/cuddling 3 year old ;)
Some photos :)
Well she is FOUR days old, how the heck did that happen.
All is going well :)
Milk is in so she is loving that of course ;) Lauren is coping really well so far :) Absolutely loves her sister to bits :D
Have written up most of my birth story, so will post that when its finished.
But for now .. some phtos ;)
Its amazing how much they change over a few days!
Has it really been six weeks since I last posted?? Wowzers.
So I am at the business end now! Madly nesting and getting my birthing room sorted. Have everything I need, and sorted into 'mummy' and 'baby' boxes, need to remind hubby again where everything is though ;)
Pool is here just needs to be inflated and filled when the time is right!
I am a bit sick at the moment though *sigh* Have a headcold and a cough, am on the mend but its annoying me, I dont actually feel really sick anymore, just stuffed up and the occasional chesty cough. Have had some homeopathics so they have done some work, now its up to my body!
So while I am ready for bub to come, I would prefer to be a bit healthier :) Feeling very heavy, and achey down low, back aches as well, occasional prelabour contraction, but it could still be a while ;)
Bub's movements have slowed right down as well, so looks like Dax is resting up for the main event whenever that may be :)
Hopefully my next post will be of some glorious photos of me & my homebirthed babe :D
The end is getting closer and closer!!
Its very exciting, I have a friend with 3 weeks (give or take) to go!! Its so exciting.
Things going along well, apart from sore hip/back which I will be pleased to have back to normal after the birth.
Getting lots of braxton hicks, way more than with Lauren, but I have been getting them since very early in this pregnancy, i have to have one of the most toned uterus's out there! Also been getting a few achey ones, like low period pain (like my pre labour with lauren) not lots and lots, no cause for concern, but just there.
Had some maternity photos taken the other day, very happy with them :D
Will put a couple up here, and the rest are here
Bub has been very active the last couple of days, still very gentle, just rolling and pushing, the occasional thumping kick, but mostly still gentle :) Which is nice.
Have been writing up my list of things i need to buy/borrow, and things I need to 'do' before the birth! Lots on there lol
So here are some photos
Almost 30 weeks :o
Things going along boringly still, which is good :)
Still
getting lots of lovely movements, not really any big kicks, just
prods/pokes/feet pulling along belly or rubbing along my ribs/hands
tickling down below. While it is lovely to have such gentle movements,
they kind of freak me out lol
Head down bum up but mostly posterior,
I know I can change this with how I sit etc as the other night I went
and flopped into a beanbag face first, kneeling on the ground so that
my belly was leaning forward. When I came back to the computer and sat
down Dax put her bum front & center which she hardly ever does, I
mainly feel feet/knees front & center. So if posterior becomes an
issue later on I will have to focus more on how I am sitting and do
some OFP positions.
11 weeks to go, I cannot wait to snuggle my baby *sigh* I know there will be so many challenges, especially with two children, but newborn snuggles are so wonderful. Especially since we are cosleeping from day one with this baby, things will be a bit different than with Lauren, no getting up out of bed to go get her etc.
Having trouble with girl name still, can't decide on anything (was the same with Lauren).
But
we are getting a bit of a list thank goodness, I would rather go in
with a list than with no idea. Probably be a boy anyway which means we
are all set ;) Well with names anyway.
Here is a 29 week belly shot, and a comparison shot with Lauren @ 29week, belly looks heaps bigger, but I think its mainly rounder and able to take its natural shape.
Been a while!
Things are going along swimmingly :)
Dax is very gentle with her movements they are so lovely, not sure how long that will last!
and yes I am saying 'her' 'she' now .. I had an amazing dream and I just can't shake the 'girl' thing.
The dream:
I was birthing in the birth pool, for some reason we thought that she had taken a breath underwater (at this stage I knew she was a girl) (also its impossible for babies to breath when underwater as they dont start to breathe until the air hits their face.) so anyway the most vivid part of the dream was me scooping her up out of the water and cradling her to me, she looked me straight in the eye and took her first big gasping breath. She looked similar to Lauren, but a bit different, bigger head I think, and more hair. I also think she was born in the caul.
The image of her taking her first breath has really stuck with me :) Very powerful.
Couple of images, the b&w nudey is at 25 weeks 2 days, the other is 26 weeks.
Well that rolled around quickly!
Yesterday was mothers day, thought it didn't feel like it. Was a pretty crap day overall. Woe is me.
Not much to update on the baby front! Still trying to work out a girls name, we have a boys name all sorted, but no girls name. We were like this with Lauren as well, which has got me thinking its a girl lol
Still haven't really bought anything for this baby, well apart from nappies, ah lovely squishy snuggly newborn nappies.
The only things we really need are a carseat and well this 2nd thing isnt really a 'need' more a 'want' a happy hangup hammock thingy. MIL has said they will buy us the carseat WOOOT so thats one thing we don't have to fork money out for, the happy hangup is around $250ish
I have a midwife appointment on wednesday so I may update after that :)
Will take a belly photo once I am out of my pjs lol
I'm hoping time will help with our toddler trials too...it's exhausting! read more
